Congaree National Park Field Trip
May 23 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Sign up at Sign Up Genius for this field trip to visit Congaree National Park.
Astonishing biodiversity exists in Congaree National Park, the largest intact expanse of old growth bottomland hardwood forest remaining in the southeastern United States. Waters from the Congaree and Wateree Rivers sweep through the floodplain, carrying nutrients and sediments that nourish and rejuvenate this ecosystem and support the growth of national and state champion trees.
A Park Ranger will be our guide for this field trip.
The walk BEGINS at 10:00 a.m. Check your mapquest to allow enough time to drive from your home to the National Park allowing some leeway for traffic or construction delays.
